Today Again

image@google

Today again-
you melt down in cold,
bare arms of old Aravali,
 like a newly-wed bride
blushing with red glow
But leave me confined
 behind bars of shadow......

Today again-
you fill my heart
with a serene vacuum,
all empty-headed
with spellbound senses
I stand sparing no room
for any rebel offences....

Today again-
bound in long, strong
 chain of enchanting hills
console each other-
me and melting you,
with a promising glance
to re-rise, retain our hue.....

For my waiting eyes,
 your mute sacrifice
 is blessing in disguise,
to serve with pleasant sight
of shiny existence of moon
emerging out of its cocoon
after a long day inside
to play seek n' hide
with you, with me
today again ......
                                       -Shivali
